2017 Career Academies for High School Students

College of Marin and the Marin County Office of Education offer courses exclusively for grades 10 through recently graduated high school students. These classes are limited – and FREE – so register fast!

4 Days June 12-15

Career Exploration is a credit-earning opportunity to delve into understanding yourself and how you can best pursue your interests and use your skills given the career market. Students earn a one-unit, CSU transferable credit for course completion!

5 Days, June 12-16

Learn how to create a video game using Unity gaming software! Unity is the engine behind almost 1/3 of top games and storytelling projects and is used by Coca-Cola, Disney, Electronic Arts, LEGO, Microsoft, NASA, Nexon, Nickelodeon, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Obsidian, Insomniac and Warner Bros.

8 Days June 19-22, 26-29

Explore careers in the leading industry for career growth!

This academy provides an overview of the health industry and students can earn 2 college credits completion!

6 Days, June 23, 26-30

Interested in the solar industry? The Solar Energy academy will provide students an in depth working knowledge of residential photovoltaic system design and installation.

  • You can sign up for more than one class.
  • Some classes require application for entry.
  • Most classes approximately 9am-3pm daily.
